Common Questions
- How do I cancel my subscription?
Open your iPhone Settings > tap your name > Subscriptions > Tala > Cancel Subscription.
- How do I delete my account?
In the app, go to Parent Settings (enter your PIN) > Security > Delete Account. This permanently removes all your data.
- How do I change my parent PIN?
In the app, go to Parent Settings > Security > Change PIN.
- Can I use Tala offline?
Yes. Communication boards, visual schedules, routines, and timers all work offline. Generating new boards with AI requires an internet connection.
- Which languages are supported?
Tala supports English, Spanish, and Swedish for both the interface and voice output.
- I'm a teacher or SLP. Do I get free access?
Yes. Select "Teacher / SLP" during onboarding and you'll receive full access at no cost.
Troubleshooting
- The app won't play sounds
Make sure your device is not on silent mode and the volume is turned up. Check that Tala has permission to play audio in your device settings.
- Boards aren't loading
Check your internet connection. If generating a new board, the AI needs a moment to create it. Previously created boards are available offline.
- I forgot my parent PIN
On the PIN entry screen, tap "Forgot PIN?" to receive a reset code via email.

Tala is designed with children's safety as a priority. We don't use ads, tracking, or third-party analytics. All child data is stored locally on your device. Read our Privacy Policy and Terms of Use for full details.
